Our school community took part in the Ukraine Appeal where money, clothes, food and other essential items were donated. The students participated in a colour’s day where they wore the colours of the Ukrainian flag while donating money to the cause. The whole school participated in the creation of the Ukrainian flag on the school pitch where videos and images were captured by drone.
The Ukraine Appeal was incorporated into our classroom activities and featured strongly throughout Seachtain na Gaeilge. Students made posters and displayed them throughout the school.
A sincere thank you to everyone who donated money, food and goods to our Ukraine Appeal. €5,000 was raised for the children’s home, along with 5 pallets of donated goods and 5 pallets of clothing/ bedding. The donated goods were delivered for shipping to the Ukraine.
