First Year Hurling Blitz in University of Limerick
Our first year panel participated in a great day of hurling at U.L.’s South campus on Thursday, November 25th. The 10-a-side format suited our group of thirty perfectly and allowed us to field three teams. We played ten matches in total and with over 150 hurlers from all parts of the county in attendance, it made for a great spectacle. Our boys showed great skill and determination. That brought a very positive attitude to their games and seemed to take great enjoyment from the non-competitive format of the event.
A special word of thanks to Transition Year students Colm Ryan, Evan Crowe, Caoimhin Doody, Seán Og Blackmore, Joe Smith and Cathal Hayes who helped mentor our teams and referee the games.
