The Transition Year is a one year programme taken after Junior Cycle and before the two-year Leaving Certificate programme.
General Information on Transition Year
It is designed to act as a bridge between Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate programmes. Transition Year in Scoil na Tríonóide Naofa is optional and we have designed our own programme which reflects the needs and interests of the students. There is no state examination at the end of Transition Year. Assessment is carried out on an ongoing basis and includes school-based assessments of projects and portfolios, oral, aural, practical and written activities.
