Leaving Cert student Chloe Kelly has great interest in music. Her musical confidence has grown vastly these last couple of years because of school and all of the opportunities Ms. Collins has given her. She participated in school choirs, Christmas carol services and any special occasions where music students were needed. It has helped her gain confidence to go busking and play music in pubs. She loves playing guitar and singing with Denis. Her favourite subjects are Music and English. In 10 years time she hopes to be a producer and produce her own music. Leaving Cert student Tomás Lynch has been involved in GAA and soccer with his local teams and schools. He was honoured to represent his school by playing in goals when they won the Munster Hurling title. He was also involved with the Limerick Hurling team and was delighted to receive an All Star Goalkeeper of the Year Award in 2020. We are very proud of you in STN Tomás. Leaving Cert student Seán Byrnes enjoys a range of different sports and activities such as cycling, swimming, wheelchair basketball, cooking, and gardening. Throughout his six years in this school, he has achieved a lot. Former Principal, Ms. Casey nominated him for the Limerick Garda Youth awards which he won on a regional level. He was then put forward for the first National Garda Youth Awards which he was a winner out of 20 other students from around the country. These were two brilliant events to be a part of. Mr. Lynch, his Ag Science teacher nominated him for an acknowledgement at the Kilmallock and District Council AGM. He has completed 5 and 10 km in the Great Limerick Run on his bike and he hopes to go to UL next year to study Business. We are very proud of you Seán. Leaving Cert student Brendan Ryan enjoys basketball, going to the gym and playing music. He has played basketball with the school team since third year and has enjoyed many great memories with his team mates. Brendan really enjoyed mountain biking in TY and Delphi. His favourite subject is Technology and has enjoyed working on his project. Brendan also sings in the school choir and has played guitar since he was in first year. We are very proud of you Brendan. Leaving Cert student Culainn O’ Connor attended Tineterrife National School and began attending STN in 2018. He has been practicing Taekwondo since he was 10 and received his blackbelt when he was in fifth year. He is Editor and Contributer to Ms. Moroney’s English quote book. He is an aspiring novelist and future writer. His favourite school memory was getting lost in the mountains in Delphi. He likes to read, watch sport and watch tv shows. His favourite subject is English. His favourite artist is Elliott Smith. His favourite movie is Tale of the Princess Kaguya. His ambition is to write something that will leave an impact on someone. Leaving Cert student Amy Shanahan started dancing at five years of age. Amy has three All Ireland medals and danced on the TG4 programme An Jig Gig at eight years old. She danced on the news and clips of her dancing were played on the Late Late Toy Show. Amy has won many 1st place County medals and Munster medals in set dancing. Her favourite artist is Dermot Kennedy and a special moment was her 18th Birthday. We are very proud of you Amy. Best wishes for the future #wellbeing #LCstudents

Leaving Cert student Rowena Quinns’ favourite subjects are Home Economics and Biology. Her best school memories are jumping off cliffs in Killary and history with Ms. Leahy. Rowena has won Limerick boxing championships three years in a row and two Munster Championships since first year. Her hobbies include gardening, running, walking the dog, chatting with friends and cooking. Rowena is on the Wellbeing team. After the Leaving Cert she hopes to study Human Nutrition in Sligo and become a Dietician. We are very proud of you Rowena. Leaving Cert student Jack Dunne Byrnes is in 6.4. His favourite hobby is reading detective novels. The Kindness Cafe was one of the best memories he had in school. It was great to get out of class for a couple of classes and the coffee was great. The best part of the kindness café was the music, the feeling the music gave to the atmosphere was great. It was like time traveling back to the seventy’s, eighty’s, and the ninety’s years of music. At one point everyone at the table he was sitting at wanted Stephen, a student to sing in front of everyone. His excuse was that after drinking tea his voice sounded terrible. Leaving Cert student Cian O’Carroll attended Cappawhite National school. He enjoys basketball and plays GAA with Cappawhite. Last year, Cian was on the team who won the West Junior B Hurling league. He has a great interest in cars from a young age and enjoys going to rallies as his father competes in them. His dream 5 a side team would be David Ryan, Deccie Byrnes, Gussie (BAM), Vinnie Barry and Tomás Lynch. Cians’ fondest memory is the Irish Oral exam! We are very proud of you Cian. Leaving Cert student Michael Ryan attended Bilboa NS. He played Limerick County Soccer from 2015 to 2019. He played Kennedy Cup soccer with Limerick County in 2018 and 2019, which is the main competition in Ireland between the best players from each league. Michael won the Kennedy Cup with Limerick County in 2019. He was on the Munster Regional Soccer Squad from 2018 to 2019. Michael has been hurling with Cappamore since under 10. He plays in midfield or in the forwards. He also won an under 14 All-Ireland Hurling Feile Final with Cappamore in 2019. Michael is on the Wellbeing team. We are very proud of you Michael. Leaving Cert student Katelynn Mahers’ favourite class in school is History as she gets on well with her class mates and her teacher Mr. O’Brien. Her favourite school memory was during Covid when her class were taken out for walks each day. She enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends and going to the cinema. Leaving Cert student Shane Pearse played Oscar Traynor for Limerick in an U18 squad. This was a great achievement for Shane as from a young age, his life has revolved around soccer and sport. Representing his county in front of huge crowds from all over the country was a great feeling. Shane also played for Limerick LDSL in the Kennedy Cup squad at U14. Shane plays hurling and football for Pallas and is a goalkeeper in both football and soccer. Shane has also won the U16 soccer premier A league with Munster Regional. We are very proud of you Shane. Leaving Cert student Sarah Dillons’ favourite school memory is all the supporters cheering her team on while running up to the pitch at the School Camogie Munster Semi – final. Sarahs’ favourite subject is Ag Science and in ten years time, she aspires to be qualified in her chosen field and happy. Sarah is a member of a group which raised over 70,000 euro for the Irish Cancer Society since 2017. She plays camogie for Cappamore and STN, has won the Intermediate County final in 2021 with Cappamore and reached the Munster A semi – final with STN in 2023. Sarah plays football for Pallasgreen and Limerick Senior team and reached the All Ireland semi- final with Limerick last year. Sarah has played football with STN since 1st year and captained the team to the Munster final in 2023 and won. We are very proud of you Sarah. Best wishes for the future #wellbeing #LCstudents

Leaving Cert student Samuel O’Dwyer attended Doon CBS. He has played with Cappamore Celtics from 2013 to 2023. He played with Kilfeacle RFC when he was younger and played with the school basketball team for the last two years. Samuel enjoys travelling and would like to travel abroad in a few years. Leaving Cert student Niamh Kelly attended Doon Convent NS and her favourite subject is Music. Niamh would like to study Musical Theatre at MTU and has played supporting role in four sold out productions of Sister Act in the Excel Theatre last summer. Niamh is a chorus member in Limerick Panto Society and part of Cinderella in 15 sold out shows in TUI. Niamh started performing when she was seven years old with Star Stage School, Cappawhite. She is a member of the school choir since 1st year and performed the solo ‘Oh Holy Night’ this year. Picture included is of Niamh performing in Sister Act, a musical about a singer placed in a convent to hide as witness protection. We are very proud of you Niamh. Leaving Cert student Orlaith Hickey aspires to become a primary school teacher. Her favourite school memories is of Mr.O’Briens’ history class in 1st year. Orlaith’ favourite subject is Biology and she was nominated student of the year in 1st and 5th year. Orlaith passed her driving test on her first attempt. Leaving Cert student Stephen Zhi Wei Lin is in 6.5. His favourite subject is music. He is founder, director and creator of the English quote book. He enjoys performing at weddings, singing, playing guitar and piano. In the future, Stephen aspires to be a music/mandarin teacher or music artist/ song writer. Leaving Cert student Denis Murphy has a great interest in music. Denis plays electric guitar in school and has participated in the school choir service, Christmas Carol service and has completed his music practical exam. Music is his favourite subject. His favourite school memory is the 6th year Irish trip to the Gaeltacht and memories of Seán Togher’ antics. In the future, Denis hopes to become a professional Musician. Leaving Cert student Orla Carr started dancing when she was four years old. Over the years, she learned how to do many different dances. Her favourites are jiving, set dancing and sean nós dancing. She has won many All Ireland trophies for waltzing and jiving. When she was eight, she danced on An Jig Gig on TG4 with lots of other dancers. As well as this, she auditioned for the Late Late Toy show and clips of this were shown on the news. She has three All Ireland Community Games medals in Irish Contemporary Dance as well as county Community Games medals for set dancing. Last year, she danced in the Senior Scór Set Dancing and they won the county final and went through to the Munster final. One of the highlights of her time in school was dancing for many events. Leaving Cert student Conor Whelan has played hurling and football with his clubs Doon and Oola since he was six years old. His greatest achievement is winning an U21 county title with Doon. Conor would like to study Business in UL and win a county title with Doon and Oola. His favourite school memory is of Tony Broderick getting stuck in the pond. We are very proud of you Conor. Leaving Cert student Orla O’Brien made the county U14, U16, minor and senior county panels for Tipperary. She captained the U16 Tipperary panel who won the league final. Orla captained the schools’ senior team this year. Last year, Orla reached the All Ireland semi-final with Tipperary. She has won an U14 county final, two U16 county finals, two minor county finals, an U21 county final and two senior league titles with her club Anacarty. We are very proud of you Orla. Leaving Cert student Patrick Horan started playing piano when he was 10. He plays GAA with Cappawhite and won an U19 Football county final. He was captain of the minor hurling team last year and the team won a west final in both hurling and football. Patrick performed beautiful music at the Kindness Cafe in March. Leaving Cert student Emilia Hildebrandt enjoys learning new languages, programming, crocheting and going to the gym. Emilia has played basketball on the school team since 5th year. Her biggest school achievement is making solid friendships at school that she knows she will cherish for a long time. Her favourite subjects are Maths and French. After the Leaving cert, Emilia hopes to study Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in UL and aspires to become a Polyglot. Emilia is on the Wellbeing team. We are very proud of you Emilia. Leaving Cert student Seán J Hayes has a great interest in Music Production. He releases music under the name Hayvend. He has written songs for many different artists and has 3 million all time streams. Seán has two plaques from Spotify. Leaving Cert student Mariam Owolabi really enjoyed playing basketball with the school in 5th and 6th year. She loved being involved in playing matches and enjoyed winning some of the games. Mariam is also a member of the green school committee and loves contributing ideas. Mariam is on the Wellbeing team, is class rep for the student council and an ally for the Safespace group. Leaving Cert student Patrick O’Donnell was elected school captain, demonstrating his leadership skills. In addition to his studies, O’ Donnell is a shareholder of O’Donnell Steel & Glass and is currently contracting for O’Dwyer Steel with O’ Donnell Steel & Glass. In his free time, O’Donnell enjoys solving puzzles and mysteries. He solved a fictional murder mystery at the 2012 sci-fi festival in Doon. O’Donnell has an impressive athletic record, having won a Munster long jump competition. His favourite movie is Happy Feet 2, and his favourite color is indigo. Paddy thanks his best friend, Colin Gavin, for his philosophical and educational support during school. Looking to the future, O’Donnell is passionate about adventure. Leaving Cert student Sophie Quaid is our school captain. She has enjoyed playing camogie with her club and school. Sophie played on the Limerick team at U14 and played with Murroe Boher and Cappamore. Her fondest memory of her time in school is playing with the school team and playing in the first year blitz. Leaving Cert student Tommy Ryan’ biggest achievement was starting his own business in 2021. He worked on family members cars and soon had many customers. After a few months, he expanded his business by purchasing better machines and products. Local shops and pubs were a huge help to Tommy as they gave his business free advertisement and as a result of this business, Tommy bought his first car at the age of 16. Leaving Cert student Danny Shanahan has many school memories. Danny’ best memories are the Gaeltacht trip to Dingle in 6th year and paintballing in TY. His favourite subjects in school are English and History and he hopes to study business in college after he finishes the Leaving Cert. Leaving Cert student Róisín Doyle attended the Convent of Mercy primary school in Doon. She plays football with her local GAA club in Oola and also the school team who won the Munster final last month. Róisín also like singing and takes part in the school choir for many events such as the Christmas carol service, graduations and open days. A few months ago, Róisín sang for a wedding with friends from her music class and this was a great experience. Róisín started Irish dancing at the age of three and competed in many competitions as she grew older such as the Munsters , Nationals and even Worlds which is the biggest competition in the world for dancing. She also Irish danced for many school events and has three All Ireland medals. Róisíns fondest memory iscoming home on the bus from paintballing in TY and the music practical. Leaving Cert student Clara Bowles attended Oola NS and started playing football for Oola at the age of six. Her team has won many county titles over the years and Clara was on the panel who won the intermediate county final last year. Clara has played football with the school since first year and was part of the team who won the munster schools football final recently. Clara also plays the piano since she was nine and enjoyed playing it for the music practical. Claras favourite subject is Irish and hopes to study it next year! We are very proud of you Clara. Leaving Cert student Cora Heffernan plays camogie with Éire óg, Anacarty and has won an U14 county title, two U16 and two minor county titles as well as an U21 county title and 2 senior league titles. Leaving Cert student Chloe Fraher’s favourite subjects are Music and English. She enjoys singing, playing and listening to music, art and watching movies with friends. She is on the Wellbeing and Greenschools team, and is a founding member of the Safe Space group. She received a special mention from the 2017 RTE All Ireland Schools Playwright competition, and is an aspiring writer hoping to study English and Creative Writing in the future. Chloe’s favourite memories from school are developing her musical skills in Ms. Collins’ class and spending time with her friends. We are very proud of you Chloe. Leaving Cert student Sophie O’Mahoney has played camogie with Cappamore GAA club since she was eight years old. Her greatest achievement with the camogie club was winning the Cappamore Intermediate Camogie in 2021. Her favourite teachers are Ms. D. Leaving Cert student Scott Ryan Coleman has taken part in many sports since he was five years of age. He has achieved a lot over the years and has always been competitive in any sport in which he was involved. Scott enjoys boxing and trains everyday and trying to be the best at his sport. Leaving Cert student Seán Togher is on the Wellbeing team. He performed a memorable version of Katy Perry – Firework at the Kindness Cafe. Seán has played rugby with Clanwilliam RFC since he was eight years of age and hurling with Cappa/Solohead. Seán was soccer player of the year in 2021 and captained the U13 football team to the West final and won. Seán had many enjoyable moments in STN. Leaving Cert student Brendan Reynolds has a great interest in cars, motor bikes and motorsports. His favourite hobby is enduro racing. Brendan has a safe pass in manual handling and Athletic Ireland’s leader certification. Brendan hopes to work in Bulmers or St. James’s gate. Leaving Cert student Seán Sweeney plays Junior A hurling for Doon. His greatest achievement was winning an U21 county title with Doon in 2021. He hopes to play senior for Doon and to win a senior county title. Seán plays guitar and piano and has been in the school choir since first year. He fondly remembers Samuel O’Dywer pulling a tree out of the ground with his bare hands and bringing it to school with him. Seáns favourite quote is ‘Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin’. Leaving Cert student Áine Ryan has played camogie with Anacarty since the age of five. Her team has won the U14, U16, Minor as well as the Junior league. Her best memories are of the camogie matches and team spirit especially winning the Senior county final with the school. Áine hopes to become a vet one day in the future. Leaving Cert student Aoife Purcell started playing the violin when she was six years old. She completed grades 1-8 (classical- ABRSM) and grades 1-7 (trad) in the summer of 5th year. She used to be a member of LSOM orchestra, played in lots of venues around Ireland and travelled to England to perform with another orchestra. Aoife has competed in many Féiles and Fleadh for trad, was placed 3rd in Féile Luimní U16 (classical) and plays in the school choir. We are very proud of you Aoife. Leaving Cert student Cathal Fahey hopes to become a successful freelance digital artist. His greatest achievement is achieving in all of his higher level subjects. His favourite moments is of doing weights in the Gym during PE. Cathal is looking to studying subjects that he is really interested in. We are very proud of you Cathal. Leaving Cert student Caitlin O’Grady started Irish dancing at four years of age and has really enjoyed it over the last twelve years. Caitlin joined the Bridget Whelan School of Dancing when she was ten years old. She competed in the World Championships in Dublin in 2017, which was a huge achievement. Caitlin also competed in the Irish National Dancing Competition. Caitlin performed at our first Kindness Cafe and has many lovely memories of singing at the Christmas Carol services over the years. Leaving Cert student Harry Condon achieved best athlete when he was in 3rd year and took part in all of the schools athletic competitions. Running and going to the gym are Harrys passions and he has been a member of Bilboa running club since he was six. Hiking and being outdoors is also one of his passions. He loves camping and being in nature. He has been a member of Murroe Boher scout group since he was six. His favourite tree is the North American Redwood and his favourite book is the industrial Society and its future. Harrys other great passion is film making, He has been making homemade videos and films for as long as he can remember. Leaving Cert student Martin Maher is a member of the school basketball team. Martins’ favourite subject is History with Mr. O’Brien. He fondly remembers the mountain biking trip in TY and he is proud that he is the first student to drive a motorbike to school. Leaving Cert student Luke O’Sullivan really enjoys reading. His greatest personal achievements are climbing Moylussa with his friends and caring for horses and cows over the last ten years. Leaving Cert student Ultan Hogan has played hurling for Cappamore from the age of 6 and currently plays with the Intermediates. He also plays with the school team and has played with them over the past few years. Ultans favourite memory is of Conor Whelan doing untold damage at corner forward against Hospital. Leaving Cert student Patrick Bailey was part of the U14 Gold Medal Winning Team in Spikeball at the Community Games National Final. He is a big fan of Arsenal FC. His best school memory is guitar lessons after school in the School of Music with the late Tom Ryan RIP. Patrick enjoys spending time outdoors and is passionate about Wildlife conservation.
