Transition Year Trip to West Clare
Transition years made a most enjoyable and educational journey to Co. Clare recently to visit St. Tola’s Goats cheese farm and the Cliff of Moher Experience educational centre.
Students were expertly guided through the whole history and process of cheese production at St. Tola’s farm in Ennistymon.
They witnessed the feeding and milking of the goats and the artesian cheese making system, followed by some cheese tasting to finish off.
We then journeyed further West to the Cliffs of Moher, to explore the geology and ecology of one of Ireland most visited sites. Pat, our guide gave a most informative hour long walk and talk. The weather and views were spectacular, perfect selfie-taking conditions which were certainly availed of!
